Solution for staining lipids.
Commonly used in plant or animal tissues to differentiate fats. Stain for fats are more soluble in the fats themselves than in the medium in which they are dissolved.
Thus, when the fat is bathed with the dye solution, it tends to dissolve in the fat that is gradually loading the dye.
As a general rule, these colorants always go in an alcoholic solution or in a mixture of alcohol / acetone or alcohol / water.
