This antibody is specific to an oncofetal antigen of >1,000 kDa known as tumor associated glycoprotein (TAG-72) or CA 72-4. This antibody has been shown to be distinct from B72.3 by reciprocal competition radio-immunoassays and it has a Ka higher than that of B72.3. TAG-72 is expressed in colon, breast, pancreatic, ovarian, lung and gastric cancer.
