This antibody reacts with a 104 to 110 kDa protein known as major vault protein (MVP). It is identical to lung-resistance related protein (LRP). Treatment of cells with estradiol increases the amount of MVP in nuclear extract. Antibodies to progesterone and glucocorticoid receptors are also able to co-immunoprecipitate the MVP.
