This antibody recognizes keratin polypeptides of 45 and 56 kDa. It shows a broad pattern of reactivity with human epithelial tissues from simple glandular epithelia to stratified squamous epithelia. This antibody is of value in the identification of tumor cells as being of epithelial or less commonly of mesothelial origin.
