This antibody reacts with herpes simplex virus type 1. This antibody cross-reacts with some strains of poliovirus type 2 and CMV strain AD169. It does not show any cross-reaction with tissue culture isolates of RSV, influenza virus type A and B, arainfluenza virus type 1,2,3 and 4b, adenovirus, HSV2, varicella-zoster virus, mumps virus and measles virus.
