This antibody recognizes a 21 kDa protein identified as p21WAF1/Cip1/Sdi1/Pic1 tumor suppressor protein. This antibody is highly specific to p21 and does not show any cross-reactivity to other mitotic inhibitors. This antibody does not cross-react with mouse and rat.
