Irregularly shaped iron oxide particles of ~6?m in size. This size distinguishes BioMag® Maxi from BioMag® particles, which are ~1.5?m and BioMag®Plus particles, which are ~1.0?m. It has been shown that larger, more dense particles are more efficient in immunomagnetic capture assays, especially in viscous solutions.
