One of the hallmarks of successful IHC is the strength of the signal generated during immunostaining. DAB, widely used as a chromogen for immunoperoxidase staining, has been well accepted by pathologists due to its superior performance compared to amino ethylcarbazole (AEC). Tissue specimens stained with DAB show increased staining intensity when Intensi/Fire is applied. Only a brief incubation is required.
